ACT 2 Theatre
WHY START A NEW THEATRE COMPANY IN MOHAVE COUNTY?
ACT 2 Theatre is a traveling acting troupe in Mohave County, Arizona, focused mainly in Kingman. As we are focused on an older audience, one can expect a bit more of a "PG-13" vibe from us.

We came about as several like-minded people came together with the desire of a broader horizon for the arts, especially the theatrical arts, in the county. People wanted an outlet to be more mature, as well as to perform original pieces written by participants in the community. With that in mind, this group of actors and theatre-goers alike set to work to create ACT 2: The Tumbleweed Theatre.

Why ACT 2?
ACT 1 Theatre was a small theatre company in which one of our board members grew up working. His longtime friend and artistic director of ACT 1 always wanted him to eventually run a theatre company, potentially even her own. However, she passed away in 2020, and ACT 1 unfortunately decided to end their time as a production company and move to new ventures. That portion of our name is a tribute to Petra Karr, an amazing friend and second mother to many.

So, why the "tumbleweed" theatre?
Well, simply put... We cannot and will not be staying still. We plan on traveling all over the county, bringing productions to as many places as possible, be it at Metcalfe Park in Kingman, the canopy of Mohave College in collaboration with Bighorn Drama, or anywhere else in Mohave County. We want to bring the joy of live theatre to as many souls as possible.
